Looks great John. Great image and the use of selenium and sepia really kicks this one up a notch.
I'm getting back into sepia split toning and am wondering how weak youre mixing your bleach and toner to get such a subtle but perfect effect?
Hey Vic, I use the smelly kind of sepia toner and dilute the bleach package into a gallon of water. What's really important is the amount of time the print is in the bleach....which varies depending on the paper. Hope this helps.
Thanks patrick, depending on the paper I am using I tone both ways you mentioned. On varycon specifically I always do the selenium step first....on Ilford MGIV, I sepia tone first. For me the varycon seems to split a little better when I do the selenium step first. Hope this helps.
