Path to the Beach

I go to the ocean as often as I can. It's about 20 minutes away, and a glorious place to take a long walk at low tide. This was taken last week at the same time as my previous post. Except for the 'mat' and 'toning' that emulates my thiocarbamide and selenium regimen, it's an utterly straight scan.

Nice one again. BTW: Did you mean you toned the negative?

Thanks, TTM. No, I chemically tone the print, and emulate that effect with ps elemnts 11. My prints are always larger than my excellent scanner can scan, so I'm forced to present negs, or just not post.

Very nice, I like the low horizon angle.

This is going to sound silly, but there is a quality to the light striking the weathered wood, and particularly to the shadow of the railing on the wooden walkway, that just gives me a strong sense of presence. It's like I'm standing right there in the composition. In the sun. In the salty ocean breeze. Barefoot.

I want to be retired too...

Not silly at all, Ken, and keep in mind that you will indeed be retired when it works for you!!

Very nice John!
