Past Reflections in Kodachrome

A railroad trestle built in 1880 and taken down in 1970, they left the pylons. I had to hike a 1/2 mile into Florida swamp and spend an hour cleaning up brush that got caught in the pylons to get this shot.

The line is a remnant of the Florida East Coast Railway "Enterprise Branch" that was part of the cypress logging industry in the late 1800's early 1900's, serving Maytown, Osteen, Farmton and Enterprise, it had passenger rail service into World War II. A LOT of Florida history in this image. Well worth the hour drive.

This is off a flatbed scanner I'm going to see if I can't get a version with better resolution.
