this is an intriguing photograph with a great juxtaposition ... I also am liking whatI can see of the Cranes paper which I not used. There is very nice fine detail ..... Is this pure Pt or is it Pt/Pd ?

Miles

Thanks Miles, I use a mixture of Platinum and Palladium but my developer is so old that it gives colder tones due to residual platinum. This is on old stock Cranes and I am not sure if there is still usable Cranes cover available anywhere. Also the warmish cast on the left side of the print is from my scanner I guess as it isn't that way on the print.

Dennis

thanks Dennis for the info ... again, this is very well done ....

Tonality looks wonderful. I like it a lot -- good in-frame, out-of-frame dynamic with the dead bird at right, prompts the eye to continue drawing the outline of the bird beyond the frame edge. The open beak and the coiled wire: the visual language for me is about cartoon graphical conventions, the wire like a word balloon, the bird therefore a character speaking. Saying what? Very interesting work!
