I like the picture but the reflection of the light, from what appears to be the strobe, creates a hot spot in the print which draws too much attention to the center. It makes the balance of light seem to be unnatural. I'm wondering what a heavy tripod and a slow shutter would do in the scene? Best, tim
Catches the attention but maybe a little more work in the darkroom.
Agree with Tim and also not sure if the area above the top beam adds anything to the image. Personally I would play with printing a little darker and burning down the edges a little. We may obviously see this image differently and it apperar that you took the shot at a slight angle and I would have been inclined to take it direct on if possible as well, and even tried bounce or diffuse flash if possible, and a tripod with natural light as Tim suggests. Of course you may have done this and picked the best for you.
