Panning shot

This is one of our relatives who came to the house recently. She had so much energy (4 years old - parents will relate to this :-)) and I took a couple of shots to try and capture this.

This one is the best of the bunch and I would welcome advice on how well I have met my own criterai.

Sorry for the dust spots - i tried to print the neg but it really needs cleaning.

Works very well. Might be better if her expression of exuberance was sharper. Maybe a faster pan would have achieved this?

I think you were right not to go for a faster shutter speed which would have sacrificed the background blur.
