Lovely composition. I think I'd burn in the background so that it was nearly all shadow to give it that tad more mystery. Btw welcome to APUG :smile:
 
I find it a little too "noir". Those films had open shadows, satiny highlights and beautiful scale of "painted" grays in between, despite the popular appellation of the genre. Beautifully smooth skin tones, though.
 
Interesting, close but not quite there, I suggest continuing with this subject it has merit, I am sure that with a little more scale, and you'll have a winner!
