Pair Of Cones

Not much to look at, lots to see: a pair of traffic cones on a soccer field. This was a test of my new-to-me Kodak Chevron. Loving how it renders out-of-focus areas. And that 1/800th top shutter speed means I can shoot Tri-X in broad daylight at something other than f/16!

A good composition works even with a simple subject. I really like the shadows and how they come of the diagonal of the bases. The cones are looking a bit worn, but those shadows are /sharp/.
Part of what I like is also the tension created by the shadows pointing right to left. If you come from a culture which reads right to left, then they probably don't have the same visual discomfort.
