Another photo I finally got around to printing from my vacation this summer. This is the Oregon Inlet fishing center. I usually try to stop here every time I go to the Outer Banks. This year I arrived before the boats came in along with the crowds. I enjoyed the quiet surroundings.
Thanks! Viradon is a polysulfide toner made by Agfa. It is available from Freestyle in CA. I works absolutely beautiful with Ilford MGWT. You have to use in a well ventilated area though, it does smell and can ruin unexposed film and paper. I suggest you try some!
This has got what Barry Thornton wrote for the cover of his book 'Edge of Darkness': "The art, craft, and power of the high-definition monochrome photograph".
this print conveys the warmth of a nice day in OBX. I was always attracted to the old life saving station on the south side of the bridge, but the fence surrounding it limited the photographic potential. Now I see that it is being renovated. Another ruin ruined!
Dan, yes I always liked that saving station too, and did get a chance to photograph it once from outside the fence. I did finally see this year that they are renovating it, which is a good thing, but I still a bid saddened and wish I would have gotten a better opportunity to photograph it before.
