First attempt at a low key shot of my wife's orchids.

Lovely tonality and nice soft light, but I don't think this is a what is typically called a "low key" shot. It is a light colored flower against a dark background. A low key shot, would be a dark colored flower against a dark background (black on black), or at least clearly directional lighting causing sharp distinction between shadow and light parts of the subject, and small lighted parts.
