Here's a print from a recent sojourn to downtown Columbus. But I messed it up! An inadvertant darkroom (print) overexposure. But perhaps it has some redeeming qualities?
However inadvertent, I think this is a much better image than the 'straight' print which just says 'look at this cool looking light in a boring marble lobby somewhere'. This, however reveals no context, makes us wonder what the 'entrance' is to (it could be Hell for all we know), and holds attention because it's so mysterious. Technically fine straight prints are good to be able to make, but this is much more imaginative and interesting.
