Ailsa, you can't fool everyone. We know you like Velvia ..... Besides, didn't I see some color images by you in Outdoor Photography recently? Or was I dreaming?

Darn, I knew I should have written that piece under a pseudonym. But yes, they were pictures from a boat trip I took around the Small Isles in May of this year.

I don't think that you should feel any compulsion to take your day job out into the landscape Ailsa. Velvia is not vice! But admittedly, the warmth and saturation are easy to succomb to.

Some images, such as this need to celebrate the colour. Orange circle in green square - Such forms don't crop up too often.

Terry Frost would have dreamt up a wacky title, preferably just the one or two syllables and without the slightest hint of an apology!

Ailsa, I enjoyed your article, it was good to see you writing for Outdoor Photography (one of my favorite magazines, which I can hardly ever get). Now, if you could just beat some sense into Colin Prior; he used to make a lot of sense, at least until he started drinking the digital kool-aide.
