Thanks Thomas. It were a very Windy day. My first Mardi Gras. The previous year, there was a police strike and it was cancelled for the first time in over a hundred years. This year the police threatened to do it again and it wasn't until the last minute that the city gave in, thus the crowds were small and Barbara and I had a wonderful time. It was so good that the next year I couldn't wait to go again - BIG Mistake! Everything was back to usual -- wall-to-wall people, drunks, crime, surley policemen, etc. If I never go to another Mardi Grad again it will be too soon.

I like it. The absence of any one thing would diminish it.
