The top of the head is cut off and the thing is hollow, so there is light coming in through the top of the head and lighting up the eyes and mouth... It's white ceramic and maybe 4 inches tall.

No, not solarized. It's sitting on a windowsill and is lit from the back by diffuse daylight.
