On Tulley Hill Road - 8x20 Diptych

Comments/Criticisms always welcome.

Another method of making and 8x20 diptych. Take an 8x10 negative that had too much foreground stuff and trim/cut into two 4x5 negative, then enlarge and print.

I really have no idea about any proper methods of doing this. Just hunting and pecking about.

If this idea becomes successful, I plan on enlarging these onto 11x14 prints for a 22x14 panorama. BIG seems to be necessary for the galleries these days for some unknown reason.

It's interesting, Alex, how the gesture of your print seems to fit together best as the double print format. From the top right there is a hook like flow pattern, coming down that hill towards the center and then working its way via the trench further to the left and then back towards the foreground center where the log rests. That gesture feels very natural to me. A great view!

Thanks Thomas and OMU. It was this scene that gave me the idea in the first place. I had made a separate 4x5 of the left side of this scene. When printing it by itself, my slow mind realized that this was a good way to get a poor man's panoramic.
