OLDEST BRIDGE IN ARKANSAS

OLDEST BRIDGE IN ARKANSAS

The Springfield Bowstring bridge is the oldest standing vehicular bridge in the state of Arkansas. Originally constructed in 1875, it was retired from service in 1991. Hard to believe it lasted that long. The hwy has been bypassed around it some distance away, so this is a hike into the woods to photograph. I took my Leicas.
