Old Wrench - Wet Plate trio

Was in need of a photographic fix so I made some plates today.

This is an old wrench I found at an antique store.
tryptich of 3 - 5x7 wet plate collodions on black glass.

I know they don't lineup exactly, I'll just have to make due. :)

appreciate any comments/critiques/etc

The scan is kinda small... A larger version of the plates is here http://www.matthewmagruder.com/temp/5x7_BG_wrenchTryptichLG.jpg

diptych maybe?

Good job Matt. Its not necessary for the panels to line up exactly. The human eye makes the connection. How did you move the camera? Linearly or pivot on the centerline?

This is indeed a very nice triptych. I think that the slight un-alignment of the image parts adds to the image as a whole.

I think this works really well and the colour adds to the final composition.

Now that is sweet, Matt. Hope everyone will click the link to the larger image, so you can see how sharp it is and all the detail that just does not come across here.
Nice long pause between shots I would guess, so that makes it even more impressive to me.

Fantastic idea and very well realized. Great stuff.
