Old Stone Arch Bridge

Located in Southeastern Mayes county, in Oklahoma is this Stone Arch Bridge. A single lane bridge on a county road, it is now closed and bypassed by a modern bridge.

Another very good image in a excellent, well conceived project.

It's hard to imagine retiring a well built bridge and any road here in the crowded Northeast.We have one like this near here (2 hours north of NYC) that was used as a railroad bridge but as the train stopped coming this way some time ago, it's been included in a proposal for a 40+ mile 'rail trail' to be used by bikers, hikers, strollers, etc.

I crossed a similar bridge built around 200 B.C. by the Romans that is still used as a major approach into Cordoba, Spain.

What are all these printed on? The tones are luscious. And the pictures are very nice too.
