This photograph was taken during an outing to Starved Rock State Park and surrounding areas in Illinois with the Midwest Large Format Asylum and a group of photographers from Iowa.

In the town of Lasalle, an old railway car sat decaying on a siding. What caught my eye was a glow from the porcelain despite its decrepitude.

I love the depth and selective focus. I can never walk away from things left to mellow with age, decrepitude, no just more flavor.

Thanks for the kind comments.

How about this: "Finding the pulchritudinous in decrepitude"

All the best,
Daniel
