This photograph was taken during an outing to Starved Rock State Park and surrounding areas in Illinois with the Midwest Large Format Asylum and a group of photographers from Iowa.

In the town of Lasalle, an old railway car sat decaying on a siding. What caught my eye was a glow from the porcelain despite its decrepitude.

This is wonderful. I couldn't have walked away from this either. Long live decrepitude (includes moi of course)

I've done some photos of decrepitude, I refered to them as self portraits.
I couldn't have walked away from this either.
