This pedestrian bridge in John Zink park in Skiatook, Oklahoma in Tulsa County is quite curious. It is a "bowstring" style truss of rivited construction and not as small as it might appear. The top of the bow is about six feet high, so a person can very easily walk thru it with room to spare from the overhead stabilizers. Of unknown age. For vehicular road bridges, the Bowstring style of truss bridge was obsolete before the 20th century, but this bridge is undoubtedly much newer. The park was built in the 1960s.
