Old Nags Head

Bromoil Print from 1974 b/w negative. Brushed inked with multicolors of lithographic inks. Before the multi-million dollar stucco mansions lined the beaches with their private swimming pools and decorator interiors, charming old beach houses were to be seen and enjoyed. Gentle sea breezes, not air conditioning, made them comfortable for naps and rocking on the front porches. Progress and escalating land values have eradicated those old cottages of yesteryear. Ah! Progress.

Outer Banks of N.C.

who knows?
Last time I was at Nags Head (stayed at Duck) was 1987; and it was still low key atmosphere. Amazing what people build on a shifting sand dune thats prey to hurricanes. Oh well, Pompei was build next to an active volcano; so we haven't learned much.
Back to the image, I really like how you blend multiple colors into your Bromoils. Beautiful images. Btw, have you created a DVD workshop yet ( your book is very helpful, but I haven't progressed beyond initial attemps)?
