Old Man of Storr

I've posted this before in B/W. This is the colour shot I took at the same time

Very nice. When it came up I thought it was in the US states of Montana or Wyoming. Edit later: Looking at it again, it seems almost like 1960's Kodachrome. Really cool.

I agree with pbromaghin. It doesn't look like typical Scotland and does seem to be a different sort of colour from what you see these days. Not worse just different and eye-catching

It has been a long time since I've been up that way.... Thanks for rekindling memories. Had to dig through some of your other postings, and must admit, I prefer the B&W shot. Much more atmospheric.

Beautiful photograph. I had expected Scotland to be more green and purple...

Thanks for the comments. The light was interesting as we drove over the brow of a hill and got this view, and I think this kind of captures it - I think Ektar is a great film. I prefer the B&W as well - this is the difference to me between colour and b&w; the former I take, send the film, get back the negs and scans - I don't process C41, and even if I did don't have a decent scanner. B&W I have to work at with all the time/skill(?!) it takes in the darkroom to produce a print.
