I am drawn to rural dereliction and its graphic portrayal in B&W. It always raises the questions who were they and what caused the abandonment? It's usually a sad story despite its idyllic setting.
I was looking at buying the land for an English company that's interested in planting trees on it. So the land may go from trees to trees, with a little human intervention in between. The land was probably homesteaded after the First World War. It's now part of a 2800 acre cattle ranch. There is a local road named after the homesteader, so he must have been there for a while.
