I am a lover of such structures and these are particularly good. There is a 3D look to this. I have a feeling that they could come alive at any moment. I have heard that the P645N is particularly good at low shutter speeds when handheld but I suspect that at 1/4 sec it was a tripod job. Was it?

A good solid tripod was very much a part of the kit. There is no mirror lock up on the 645N (added on 645NII) but thus far I have not found that to be a problem. BTW, although I do have some Nikon gear, my favorite 35mm is a pentax LX - unsurpassed, in my opinion, and terrific for long exposures. Thanks for your appreciation of this shot!
