Interesting the way the sign seems to loom out of the image. Quite surreal.
I spent my early childhood in the 1960s in Warkworth between Jerrys Plains and Singleton and made many trips in the back of the falcon wagon to Newcastle for "proper" shopping trips with my parents. All those transplanted Welsh names of the little villages and towns on that road bring back many memories.
