Old Cat

Here's an attempt at the "Hollywood" portrait look. The model was a real P.I.T.A. to work with and I have a newfound respect for the animal trainers who work with big cats.

Many thanks to one and all for your kind comments. Eric, it just cost a small amount of tuna fish (his favorite "treat" food) and a bit of time. Didn't have to use the velcro & super glue this time. Yes from the cat's perspective I can be a major P.I.T.A. as well. He is 12 years old now, a gift from dear firends, and is still pretty spry. He's still able to catch and eat the better part of an adult Dove in one sitting.

As an aside, he was my son's partner since he arrived at six weeks of age. My son left for the Army in July and has been home once since that time (after graduation from basic training). The cat spent some time moping and calling in Paul's room, on and off, for a couple of months after he left. When Paul came home on his first leave in October, the cat would have nothing to do with him and I mean nothing! Hopefully, at Christmas time the cat will decide to change his tune and relent. Cats do hold a grudge for a while.

Thanks again, Merry Christmas. tim

Aw, what a beautiful kitty. I recently got my two 'lil buddies to sit for me. All I had to do was set up the camera and tripod in front of a chair next to the window and use my darkslide as a "birdie"...they were happy to be part of the set-up. For about 10 seconds.
