Old Barn

final print of the day for my first printing session in over 9 months!! This image I am not sure of... The sky although blue, was a little hazy, and trying to burn in the top left was quite probelmatic to get an even tone. I went with a less aggressive burn and left it more open. The black smudge above the barn roof is actually a bird!! I am not sure whether I will 'knife' that out and spot it back yet.

Looks very good, Andy, although I'm not sure about that sky either. With the absence of clouds, I would go a little lighter handed..maybe? As far as the bird, I can barely tell it's a bird from the scan but in the prints it probably looks fine (if it's 10x10 at least), so I would leave it there. The image is great so you got lots of potential there. Heck, you could even do lower contrast to give it that nice feeling of late afternoon, enveloping light. Just don't wait another 9 months

It's a very evocative photo of times past in the USA eg The Depression, Dust Bowl etc., and as such works very well. I would however be inclined to burn in the sky a bit more on the LHS and I would try to remove that bird from the shot. I do like your rendition of the shot which matches the atmosphere it conveys.

really like this one - leaves me with a true feeling of how expansive the area is.
