Walk around that subject more. This is a portrait of an old barn. I just don't think it is nessasarily the best image of this subject matter you could have made.
You seem to be in an exploration stage and we all start there.
Go to a library or museum and look at art. NOT JUST PHOTOGRAPHY. I learned more about photographic lighting looking at Rembrant etchings than from Karsh's work.
Keep working... when you located something that interests you do more than document it's existence, explore what it means to you, the feelings you have for it.
Thanks for all your input. I appreciate your candor. I will definitely keep exploring. Shooting analog is quite different than digital in that I can not see the results until developed and printed. I am trying to take more time thinking about my shots and getting different angles as well as focal lengths. Also, I am trying to take careful notes so I can go back and try to figure out what I did that can be done differently. The idea of looking at my art is a good one.
Thanks again.
