This pair of bridges, representing the "Old" and the "New" are on Hwy 112, east of Poteau, Oklahoma in LeFlore County. The old bridge is in fine condition, and was probably replaced due to the need for more capacity and increased traffic. The old bridge appears to be preserved in place, but one can never be too secure in that thinking. The old bridge is a very good example of Oklahoma bridge design in the 1920's and 1930's, being a very robust Parker Camelback thru-truss. It has a concrete deck, and original lattice style guard rails.
