Ojai north fork Matjilia creek

This is one of my favorite images that I've made to date. The tonal range is outstanding. I printed this and the all of these images on some 1976 Azo. This lens I cobbled together and the Azo has me very happy right now!

The feel of the light is wonderful! As is the other creek image. The forest path seems a little harsh...it contrasts too much with the soft focus. But the composition is good.

I'll have to use some of my Azo one of these days...don't hold your breath as "one of these days" means in a few years!

Looks to be a fine area to explore and get to know!

Vaughn, thanks. The scan does not in any way do justice to this shot. The print is amazing in its detail. The leaves in the background shimmer with light. This is the only print I've made with this image and I have not begun to explore it. The detail in the trees and the contrast to the smoothness of the water really sets this image apart. You have to see the print.
