Ode to Jim Galli

I know calla's have been done before but I wanted to test a 'new' lens that I bought back in March from Jim Galli.
The lens, a Gundlach 6 1/2" (165mm) petzval lantern lens, has been gathering dust waiting for me to make a plan and mount it on a lens board. Gaffer tape is a wonderful invention :)

I managed to shoot one image (and a dupe) before the window light died.

Bravo! It will be fun to see what you do with this lens. jg

I suggest you rename the print process to "Gallitype"!

That's really beautiful. Wonderful work Phil.

Wasn't Galliensis burned at the stake by the Inquisition?

Good riddance say I.

Really well balanced illumination. This is a nice fresh take on the kalla as subject. The bright side / dark side works very well.

Paddy - 'gallitype' is pretty funny!
