I think this has a very nice colour, I might try that combination to emulate the colour myself.

The picture content itself is very nice, I like the positioning of your main subject in the frame along with the fact she is looking away, you waited for the wave to be about right and got yuor picture.

Did you use a reflector or a small flash? I ask as there are hard shadows on her torso, yet she doesn't cast a shadow on the sand.

I agree that the shadows are a bit harsh but this is a wonderful portrait. The pose and her hair blowing indicates a somewhat cool breeze. Well done !!!

Very nice. Well chosen camera height. The harsh fill-in light helps to set the girl apart from the background.
 
Actually the beach slanted downward toward the water and the sun was very very low in the sky. So thehitting on the sand behind her, hence the reason for no shadow behind her. A reflector may not have been a bad idea to fill in those shadows. Thanks for all the great comments!
