Very nicely done, Lasse. Oaks are such a venerable subject and difficult to photograph. They cannot, for some reason, be seen all at once. Their personality must be revealed in parts, at different moments in time, like some people. You have captured one of those moments. Oak bark is hard to photograph and keep the proper texture. Do more, I wish everyone could see the original print. Regards, David.
You have captured a full range of tones in the tree bark. The only comment I have is that the black hole is in the almost center. I think I would crop 10% off the top to raise the hole above the center of the image.
Beautiful Lasse. If you are making photogravures, you must also be adept at carbon printing. Will you be posting any carbon prints?
GMA,
In order for the image to be cropped, Mr Mellberq would have to cut his copper plate. I'm willing to bet that this would need to be seen in person.
