Just for something different...a little color for a change.
Taken somewhere between Hwy 120 and Hwy 140 on Hwy 49. The poppies were out, so it must have been early Spring a couple years back. Just a reminder that even in the mid of winte, as the snow comes down, Spring will get here eventually. Image from a scanned 7"x7" print.
I love this shot. I seldom comment on photos in the gallery, but this really caught my eye.
Firstly it reminds me that I don't need to get the entire tree in the frame.
The different shades of green are lush.
The image reminds me of a scene from a children's book, I almost expect Peter Rabbit or Babmi to come jumping past !
beautiful. I agree with everyone . . . especially about looking like a scene from a childrens book . . . imagine the beauty of a whole book illustrated with such wonderful images . . .
I do not print color often -- usually when the students leave color chemistry in the processor and it is either use them or toss them (they only last 5 days in the processor, not matter how many prints are done).
I have noticed that if one gets the color balence just right, the print just snaps up in contrast and clarity. This is a pretty straight scan from the print, and a straight full-frame print from the negative.
Clouds were going over, and I managed to catch the light as the clouds threw that dark ridge into shadow, allowing the sunlit trees in front of it to stand out. It helps that the Rollei has such a nice lens.
