when I looked at this picture I could not help but think that it had kind of a retro look to it, like it had been taken with old film.

I've come back to this one a few times. It has a sort of washed out appearance, but there is something eerie and erratic about it that I really find compelling.

I think the retro, washed out appearance is partly an artifact of the scan, which I don't think I have quite right yet. Or maybe I do.
