Not Even Dead

What I find interesting about this image is the tail of the alive kitty suggesting it is still alive (unless in rigor mortis), but even stranger the white/coloured line that seems to cross the body of the kitty at a slightly obscure angle. Is this a prophesy of the approaching truck? Did you take it off the road?

Good point about the moving tail as an hint of life, a closer frame would also show better the slightly bored look to the photographer...

The clear band is just his own fur, which is clearer under, as often with theses tabby cats. I think it's giving an interesting match with the roadline, it's reminding me the old gag when, in cartoons, a character is rolled over by a car

The road was very quiet in this residential area, and the speed limit very low. All that's needed for rolling an alive and kicking cat's back on warm asphalt !
