like the images but the tones are very flat. the blacks are not black and since there is not detail in the blacks they must be black. your cropping of the image is great. just needs to have that SNAP

There appears to be black areas lacking detail in the negative as reproduced by the scan. Given the range of tones I'd say he has everything right for me.
