A test plate with a new chemistry batch, and the collodion turned out a tad thick...hence the flow lines...slowly reducing that problem as I put more Ether/alcohol mix to dilute it...will take a few more plates to iron it out.
K.hendrik, not sure if I agree...any portraiture in any media in a studio is likely to be pretty cliche...and with WPC it comes with it's own complexities.
I hope I did not unintentionally offended you It's difficult to write about judging 'things of beauty' . What I meant is this: at first when you see a WPC, it hits me like a rock: Dramatic lights, great tonality, the beauty of unsharpness, the unfinished nature as in 'a work in progress' . But when I see 10 in a row it looks like a 'trick' instead of something unique, I know this sounds like an oxymoron
