Linda Ln must not get many visitors... I see there's another sign in the background; can't imagine it's not in the same line as this one.
Yay for developing!
Linda Ln had a good idea, wish it was that simple!
30 years without developing film! Wow. Haven't you been shooting with film all this time, or have you been developing in stores? Commercial developing prices here in my area are too expensive. The day I can no longer do it at home is the day I can no longer shoot with film.
Never used Ilfosol 3 and the HP5 looks good. I haven't been very happy with my results with HP5 lately, they always seem to grainy.

I started shooting film again in 2021 after my kidney transplant. I use Ilford XP2 400 and process it at a local lab for $5 or $10 a roll with Hi Res scanning. They do C41 same day but B&W is outsourced & takes a week at $10 a roll. I find the HP5 has a bit more grain than I care for, at least compared to XP2 400.

Only smart visitors here . Initially, I only saw the Linda Ln. sign but when I noticed the "No Stupid People beyond this point" sign I had to get a pic. The first word in the background sign is "Please" can't make out the rest.

While grain doesn't bother me (in fact I love it!), I switched from Ilfosol 3 to ID-11 (/D76, which I was told here is the same) and I'm super happy with my negatives in terms of contrast and details everywhere. It's described as a fine-grain developer, so you might want to give it a try if you haven't

I find that I tend to appreciate a grainy image depending on the type of subject. In some cases, grain has the unique ability to add a special kind of mood to a picture that I greatly appreciate. In others, I prefer a finer, clearer image. Usually that's when I grab the Fuji Acros 100, probably my film of choice in most cases.
The ID-11 is the developer I have been using for the most recent years, since it's the one that is usually always available at the shop where I can go and buy in a pinch if I run out. In my earlier days I used D76, but for some reason that one became harder to find.
