Gears don't you love the Hasselblad with the 50mm I sure do. Ok so great exposure I wish it was more focus on just the gears. Cutting out all the background on the right.
Many of my best images are w/ the humble, single coated 50. Some of the inclusion of the right is to show what the worm gear does - turning the shaft that pulls the chain that steers. I have some fixation with how crude & similar it was to the soapbox racer.
You might like the earlier posting of PanF & gears -
Thank You, Peter. I do love mechanical stuff. More pedestrian subjects, but fun will be this weekend's car show in Woodland, WA. I have a composition done on an electric cam that I want in PanF or Portra 160 of a 57 chev.
Great tonal range again Mr Silver, the angle of the large gears give it real presence.
Maybe a little burning in in and around the window, so not quite so bright.
Hah! The full size image shows about 6 places the grease is dripping off the gear. The honorable rmann had a stunning shot of grease coating a train valve that really conveyed the work & the grime.
