No Lovers

8x10 silver contact print.

You can see a big face drawn on the black door on the actual print. I just love working from parking garages, was introduced to the idea by Scott Killian and now I can't pass one up. There is something about being up near the level of the surronding buildings, a fresh perspective I guess.

Doc, this might actually be my favorite photograph that I have seen from you. It is incredible structurally, and for me, the graffiti puts it over the top. Now that I look at it again, I don't think it would work at all without the graffiti-- the way the cement wall on the right edge is repeated in the row of windows of the building in the upper right . . .

Awesome.

I like this one too. Different perspective certainly make the print look refreshing.

Thanks fellows. I love those repeating forms too, Rich. There is another area on the left hand side of the image that relates to those two sections as well. This was really an excercise in using perspective as a tool to balance other objects in the photograph, a kind of asymetrical tension resolved in an unusual way (I hope!). There is much work to be done at this garage alone. I hope to post more from here soon. Best. Shawn
