It was a mystery sheet I had stored in a box of "mystery" exposures. Upon seeing the negative in the fix, I'd forgotten this road trip... back in 2008!
Andrew, it's an intriguing pic in perspective terms. The church looks almost like a toy or model church stuck on a table top with fake scenery around it and a large picture in the background i.e. it is as if none of it is "real"

That amusing remark sums it up well for me I once saw a table top shot of what appeared to be a snowy 1950s scene with an old lorry and motorbike against a fence by a railway station and a train just waiting, apparently to leave. It was so realistic and yet it wasn't. My brain was in conflict. Does that make sense?
