Darkroom print.
Lots of dodge and burn and bleaching. Took quite a few goes, might take a few more to get it right. Bleached with cotton bud, fine paint brush and finger.
Excellent moody take here. Only thought for change is to crop down from the top to minimize the overall height of the scene. Regardless, works very nicely here with the single rider in the dim light......
Beautiful... I understand Trail's suggestion but I do think your format and all of that dark stuff at top contributes (I've just confronted a similar challenge).

Thanks for your comments, this is the way I envisaged the picture (had to wait for the right weather and half an hour before I got a bike somewhere workable, fortunately they often come out ahead of the traffic). I wanted the clouds to set the mood and the lights road to have a slight distorted tunnel effect (seem to have lost some of the trailing lights in the scan), leading the rider and the viewer somewhere. I like the portrait aspect like a poster or a book cover, but yes it could work with a crop.
I have a few other similar pictures spinning around in my head, just need to work out how to get them on paper.
