Ok- if you don't mind, I'd like to hear what the thought process was behind making it that way. It's an interesting look, and I think it works for this image, but I'm still on the fence - convince me!
No need to convince me of anything Matt. I very much like the way you have printed this down with the flower, streak in her hair and her eyes remaining prominent. Well done. As Dinesh said, it has an almost wet plate feel.
Thanks..I actually was inspired by Domenico's similar treatment to some of his images.
I wanted an old feel, softer, and to make it less "in your face".
Since the model was so relaxed and totally at ease with her nudity, I thought the image should try to convey that as well by also being "relaxed" (or dim as you say)
After trying it as straight silver, I did this and liked it better.

Beautiful image, beautifully printed. Interesting to see some of the wet plate aesthetic creeping into film work. Domenico's print on the LF forum is a knockout.
