very nice the position you chose for this shot. Using ultra wide angle is the best for these kinds of shots. we have learned this from Clyde butcher down here in Florida, because everything is so flat and close together. it gives a more spacious shot.
Michael, I knew I needed the wide when I saw the scene on an outing, vowing to return the next morning. I've heard of Clyde Butcher but am not too familiar with his work, I know he his highly esteemed, will have to look it up, thanks for the reference...
and yes, Van, 9 mins is long but there's usually just the breath of a cool downstream - 'breeze' would be too strong - flow of
cool morning air down the creek... all the leaves move gently but the trunks and rocks remain undisturbed...
