Niagara was more spectacular than I remembered it from when I was a kid and saw it. I only saw it from the Canadian side, so I didn't remember the width of it.
Yeah, that is one of the "Maid of the Mist" boats. Not that they were ever anything but touristy, but they're now capitalizing on the fame of the boats and selling all kinds of "Maid of the Mist" tchotchkes in the gift shop now. Everything from rain jackets and T-shirts to shot glasses, battery-operated wall clocks with Maid of the Mist photos, and even a super-cute fuzzy yellow stuffed-animal duck with its own blue raincoat. I was out on the observation deck that sticks out over the river on the American side to take this photo. You had to pay $1 to use it, which isn't bad, considering how much they charge for everything else.
