New Years Sunrise over Mt. Fuji

New Year Sunrise over Mt. Fuji. I slept in my car and started climbing at 2AM to reach the summit of a near by mountain to capture this picture of Mt. Fuji. It was a 1600 meter elevation change/climb from the parking lot to the top. This picture was taken with a Fuji GA654zi, but I also carried my 8x10, 5 film holders, lenses and tripods up the mountain. I learned just how heavy 8x10 can be. I shot 4 8x10 chromes on Velvia 50 as well as BW, but they have not been developed yet.

This picture was also taken using the new Fuji Provia 400X film. My initial impressions are its a very nice film, doesnt quite have the color saturation of velvia, but the grain is actually slightly less. I will need to test it a little more before I come a conclusion.

As always thank you for looking, any thank you for looking.
