New Year's Bouquet

New Year's Bouquet

My girlfriend received a nice bouquet for her birthday and our new home. I got myself a new lens, and a paramender over the holidays.

This will make an excellent 11x11 whenever I can next setup the colour darkroom. The 135mm lens is definitely a good one, despite certain online criticisms, and leaves nothing to be desired.

I'll make a comparison with the 180mm one of these days, but for now I'm happy to have found a lighter one. But I think I prefer the perspective of the 135mm, which allows to give a little more volume than a longer lens.

And Ektar was just made for the rich, saturated colours of flowers. The rendition is gorgeous, even at the pixel-peeping level.

Nice colors, crisp and sharp. Crusty, just how I like them. Good work !!

Michel:

This is wonderful.

I really like the 135mm lens for the C series cameras. In particular, I like it for portraits - I'd heartily recommend you try yours.

Happy New Year!

Matt
