NEW Kodak Portra 400

Just a stunning image! It's so impressive in my opinion, that it put me a loss for words. Needless to slay I'll be looking to stock up on this new Portra.

Wonderful looking film ...

Thank you for the feedback. I was rather impressed too, when I got the negs back from the lab. Skin tones are similar to 160 NC, my favourite until now, while greens and blues are very natural looking. I still prefer the look of Portra 160 NC for portrait work, but 400 will be my standard film in the Rolleiflex, from what I have seen now. In 120 format, grain is practically invisible, in scans as well as in prints (did not print very large though).

In Europe new Portra 400 should be available starting November, in 135 and 120 format. Kodaks site states that the "old" 400 NC and VC will be in stock until December.

Nice and smooth colors! Time to buy some films
